The James Edgar Evans Scholarship

Dr. Evans loved his community and before passing in 2015 wanted to establish a scholarship fund to give back to the community that supported him and his family.

Dr. Evans was a graduate of Ohio University in 1966, and was awarded the Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University in 1970. He attended Wellston High School and was a 1962 graduate of Culver Military Academy. Furthermore, Dr. Evans was a veteran of the United States Navy, for which he served 4 years, and the Ohio Air National Guard, from which he retired in 2005 with 34 years of dedicated service. Dr. Evans was a well-known optometrist in Jackson and Vinton counties for the past four decades. During that time, Dr. Evans was very active in his community and was a member of many civic, community, and business organizations.

Regin Addison Evans is originally from Jackson and looks forward to participating in giving back to his hometown community. Regin earned an MBA from Ohio Dominican University and a BA in Communication from Ohio University.

Regin has 13 years of experience within the residential mortgage banking industry. He also holds 2 licenses in the insurance industry (Property and Casualty, Life and Health insurance) and an Arizona Real Estate Agent license.

Regin enjoys volunteering with non-profits that "keep him active." His latest opportunity has brought him to Agua Prieta, Mexico to the Casa Hogar Orphanage. At Casa Hogar, Regin enjoys playing soccer with the children, and will be adding a basketball hoop for his next trip April 9th.

Andrew Michael Buzzelli was raised in Stow, Ohio. Andy earned his BA in Communication from Ohio University. Andy has 5 years in the banking industry and currently is Regional Sales Manager at ADP.
